Design, for me, was never a pivot — it was a return.
After a 30-year career in technology, culminating in executive leadership and founding a consulting firm serving premier clients including Accenture, Web/MD, MD and PA State Governments, and General Dynamics, I stepped away in 2014 to focus on what had always been there from the beginning: creating spaces.
As a child, I was building miniature apartments out of shoeboxes — cutting, layering, and curating rooms from Sears catalog pages. That instinct — to compose, to edit, to elevate — never left. It simply evolved.
Over the past decade, I’ve applied that same discipline to real homes: designing, renovating, flipping, and creating original art and furniture. My work is hands-on and deeply informed by construction knowledge. Between my husband — a CEO who can frame, plumb, and wire — and myself, there’s very little we don’t touch directly: drywall, tile, paint, layout, and finish.
We live and work on Isle of Palms, where our personal home and rental property serve as both laboratory and showcase. Our aesthetic — Carolina Coastal Organic — is grounded in natural materials, warm woods, layered whites, and a relaxed, editorial sensibility that feels both refined and livable.
But the real value I bring isn’t just design — it’s strategy.
With a background in business, math, and systems thinking (MBA, PMP, Computer Science), I approach every project highly organized with clarity around what drives value. I don’t overdesign. I focus on the decisions that move a property — visually, emotionally, and financially.
Whether preparing a home for market or reimagining a space to live in more beautifully, my goal is the same: create environments that feel intentional, elevated, and impossible to ignore.
When a project calls for technical drawings or a trained second set of hands, I partner with VDN Drafting & Interiors.

Danielle produces construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD, specification schedules, and project visualizations in Lumion — and sources furniture, art, and materials with an eye rooted in design history, not what’s trending. Her precise drafting and opinionated sourcing turn a concept into something buildable.
